Covid-19 pandemic and Base protocol.

Due to  COVID-19 pandemic, Αxion Yachts has been adjusted to fulfill all WHO, ECDC and Greek Government instructions.
All our yachts will be delivered to our customers cleaned, sanitized and disinfected.

For safety reasons and in order to minimize the time needed for the check in and check out procedure, we would like to inform our customers in advance about all the steps of the Base procedure.

-Due to extra cleaning conditions this year and in order to fulfill all health standards , there could be a delay in check in time beyond the contract time i.e 17.00hrs.

-Upon your arrival at Alimos base we will inform you about your check-in time. It is imperative to inform us in advance for your estimated time of arrival at the Base. 

-There will be no luggage storage by Axion Yachts this season. You are advised to bring few and small pieces of luggage and preferably of soft material that can be easily stored in the yacht's  lockers.

-On check in time, one person only, the charterer-skipper will come to our office/caravan and then to the yacht in pier nine/9.

CHECK IN PROCEDURE.
A.Procedure with charter manager:
Signature of documents and payment of extras . Time of procedure  15 minutes  approximately,  in open space, in front of our office/caravan.
Both the charter manager and the client must wear face masks and keep a safety distance.

B.Procedure with base manager: The base manager will present the yacht to the charterer-skipper. Both the base manager and the client must wear face masks and keep a safety distance . Procedure of one hour.
All documents that will be signed in base will be sent to the charterer in advance via e-mail, in order to have  time to read them and fill in in advance all the necessary information.

C.Boarding. After the end of the procedure with our base manager and the signature of the documents the rest of the crew will be allowed onboard the yacht with their luggage.

D. Provisioning. At this stage provisioning can be placed onboard. Customers are strongly advised to order provisioning on line and in advance of the charter. Please ask for further information if you are interested to order on line.
Alternatively there is a Spar super market outside the marina and opposite to pier nine/9 (5 minutes walk). You can order provisioning and then arrange delivery to the yacht. Delivery of provisioning in front of the yacht is free of charge.

E. Final step. The charter manager will deliver to the charterer the  book of the yacht with all the documents of the yacht.
In the last page of the yacht's book, we will place  the charter party agreement and the crew list  with the signature and stamp of port police   Now the yacht has permission of sailing.


DURING THE CHARTER PERIOD.

According to the instructions of the Greek authorities there are four documents . They  must be read by all crew members.

A.The log book / placed in the chart table.

Every day all members of the crew must measure their temperature with the infrared digital thermometer provided and write it down in the log book. The log book must remain on the yacht after the end of the charter under the responsibility of the owner of the yacht.

B. General instructions for the protection against COVID-19 / placed on a conspicuous spot on the yacht.

C. Covid-19 management plan (if suspect case) / placed in the chart table.

D. Model of maritime daclaration of health / placed in the chart table.

These four documents will be sent to the charterer in advance via e-mail.

Failure to comply with the instructions for COVID-19 as stated in the above documents, may result to a fine/penalty to the charterer/skipper by Greek authorities.

CHECK OUT PROCEURE.

On Friday afternoon, before  your return to Alimos marina , please inform us in advance (one hour before your arrival ) about your arrival time by SMS or telephone call.
After the berthing of the yacht the following procedure will take place.

-Please open all yacht's hatches and keep them wide open for the best possible air ventilation of the inner spaces of the yacht.

-Please wear  face masks and plastic gloves while the check- out procedure takes place. Our staff will do the same.

All members of the crew must keep a safety distance  from our staff.

  1. The professional diver will inspect the underwater part of the vessel.
  2. The fuel refilling of the yacht will take place.
  3. The sails of the yacht will be inspected.
  4. The base manager must enter the yacht for the first check . A safety distance must be kept from the base manager.

On Saturday morning and before the crew leaves the yacht:

  1. Make sure that all yacht's hatches are wide open for the best possible air ventilation of the inner spaces of the yacht.
  2. Plastic bags will be given to you by our staff.
  3. Place your laundry  either used or not into the plastic bags . Then close tightly these bags. Leave the plastic bags with your laundry on the cockpit.
  4. Place all your litter from kitchen, bathroom etc. in plastic bags . Do not leave any food leftovers onboard. Discard these litter bags in the nearest litter bin in the marina or place them on the dock , in front of the yacht. Our staff will collect them for you.
  5. After your disembarkation only the charterer/ skipper must stay by the yacht and allow the base manager a reasonable time for the final inspection of the yacht.
